dc.description.abstractThe SAFARI Project (Societal Applications in Fisheries and Aquaculture using Remotely-sensed Imagery) was initiated in 2007 with funding from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) for international coordination. SAFARI aims to accelerate the assimilation of earth observation into fisheries research and management on a global scale, one of the tasks of the intergovernmental Group on Earth Observations (GEO).en_US
