dc.description.abstract | Extension is effective use of development mechanism as educational means for changing the mind and action of people in such a way that they ‘help themselves’ to attain economic and social improvements. It is helping people by means of education to put useful knowledge to work for them. This process is the essence of extension education. Extension education is the means of achieving community development. Empowerment of people is an integral part of rural development process, which can be achieved through extension education. Extension education and skill in its use will ultimately determine the success of development programmes. | en_US |
