Abstract
ABACA of manila hemp is a leaf fibre extracted from the plant Musa textillis belonging to the family Musaceae. The largest portion of the world's production of this fibre is from the Philippine Islands. The main use to which these fibre are put is for the manufacture of twines and ropes.
