dc.description.abstractThe Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT) was established in 1957 as a national institute dedicated to development, refinement and transfer of harvest ans post harvest technologies in the fisheries sector. It continues to remain the only technology institute in India which caters to the entire spectrum of fisheries from harvest to post-harvest operations including harvesting systems, quality assurance, post-harvest handling, preservation, processing and product development, waste utilization, value addition, packaging and transportation.en_US
